Accreditations

Striving for continued excellence in all domains, As Salam International Hospital has been accredited by the Joint Commission International organization (JCI) since 2015. A world-renowned healthcare Accreditor, the JCI is considered the gold standard in the global health care community.

As-Salam International Hospital is the third hospital worldwide and first in the Middle East to be granted clinical care certification for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and the nineteenth hospital worldwide to be granted clinical care certification for Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) by the JCI. The accreditation was updated in 2022 and is valid until 2025.

The JCI Clinical Care Program Certification (CCPC) Standards are intended to stimulate continuous, systematic and organization-wide improvement in daily performance and in the outcomes of patient care.

The JCI’s Certificate of Distinction was awarded to the hospital’s Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Program as well. The accreditation was updated in 2022 and is valid until 2025.

The JCI’s Certificate of Distinction was also awarded to the hospital’s Primary Stroke Program. The accreditation was updated in 2022 and is valid until 2025.

The hospital’s compliant with the HACCP principles specified by CODEX ALIMENTARIUS CAC/RCP 1-1969, revision 2020, due to its compliance with the requirements of the Provision of Preparation, Production and Provision of Ready-to-eat Meals for all patients, staff and visitors at the hospital’s premises.

As-Salam International Hospital has also been accredited as an ESMO Designated Centre of Integration Oncology and Palliative Care for the period of 2023 to 2025.

Additionally, the hospital is ISO 9001:2015 certified for the Provision of Health and Medical care Services, a standard based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation of top management, and process approach and continual improvement.

As-Salam International Hospital is also compliant with and now certified by the ISO 14001:2015 for the Provision of Health and Medical Services.
